Giovannie and The Hired Guns Mesa Concert reviews
Great Show, but...
We wanted to catch Stone Sour, but they were running early and so we missed them. The three bands that we did see, Giovannie and The Hired Guns, Avenged Sevenfold, and Halestorm, were amazing. Corey Taylor's vocals were a little muffled and under the mix, though the rest of the band was about right. David Draiman's vocals were the only ones that felt about right. Whoever was running sound, however, was not having the best night. You could also tell that the vocalists were a little bit tired--I think this was their 10th show and there was some popping and cracking that felt a bit out of place. M. Shadows' vocals were too hot and pierced through a little too much. My friends didn't know most of the earlier groups, so we came later. Their charisma and general stage presence was spot on, however. I would have loved to have seen them either earlier or later in the tour.
